Brookfield Zoo
This summer we became members at the Brookfield Zoo! This zoo isn't free like the Lincoln Park Zoo but it's so much bigger, it's well worth the drive from the city. These pictures are from our first trip to the zoo for this summer. Michael B said his favorite animal was the hippo. He also got to ride on the carousel!
Memorial Day Weekend Camping
We went camping in Wisconsin for Memorial Day Weekend. Our group has continued to grow and this year we had some first time campers!! They had so much fun they already booked their sites to come again next year :) This year Michael B was old enough to roast his first marshmallow.
Mexico
Megan Smith and I went on a "Mom's Weekend Away" trip to Mexico in May. We stayed at the Jade Now resort. We only went for 4 days but it was so relaxing (the perfect amount of time away!). The resort we stayed at had a couple of weddings each night. We weren't there for a wedding but we had fun "toasting" the weddings each night from our view in the pool!
Kentucky Derby Party
The Smiths had a Kentucky Derby party this year. Even though my house didn't come in first, we had a great time! I got to try a Mint Julep for the first time too!

Easter Events
St John had lots of things for the kids to do the Saturday before Easter. They had a bouncy house, crafts, face painting, and a huge Easter egg hunt! Marissa took Michael B down the bouncy slide!
Easter Egg Decorating
This was the first year Michael B decorated Easter Eggs. He loved it! He even liked eating the eggs.
Magic House - St Louis, MO
We went to St Louis for Easter this year to visit Ryan, Kristy, and the boys. Here are a couple of pictures from the Magic House.
Swimming!
It was so hot the last day in Phoenix, Michael B decided he didn't want to wear his swimsuit anymore......
Spring Training
We were able to go to two spring training games - Cubs vs Indians and Brewers vs Padres. It was so nice to watch the games in the nice warm weather!
